Preparing for 2011-2012 Travel

Last year this blog didn't seem to work for people.  The link thru google+ works.

I have my passport renewal application in and expect it back in a few days.  Based on that assumption I am planning leaving Canada around Nov 15.  I want to go to Indonesia and Philippines.  I just don't know yet which to do first.  Compounding my decision making is the fact there is a Christmas morning Marathon and Half Marathon in Chiang Mai, Thailand and I would like to do that. Oh well I guess it will sort out.

Going to the New Year

Here we are at the end of 2010 and ready to travel. I am now in Calgary until January 5 when I head for Hong Kong. I will be in HK until Jan 11 when I fly to Bangkok and then onward to Chiang Mai. I don't really want to spend time in Bangkok but may stop there on way South later on. My Visa limit is 60 days in Thailand so I will need to go somewhere.

It is -24 here today and +18 in Chiang Mai - so there you have it. A good reason to travel during the winter.
